The 6th International Scientific and Practical Conference GLP-PLANET was held in St. Petersburg from July 2 to 4, 2025, bringing together leading experts in the field of preclinical research, representatives of pharmaceutical companies and regulatory authorities, members of professional associations and communities, as well as specialists in quality management systems and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
The conference featured a lively discussion on the organization and functioning of Ethics Committees. One of the invited guests was Leyli Khydyrkulyevna Kazakova, a pharmacologist at Olfarm LLC.
Leyli Kazakova delivered a presentation on the topic: “How should the safety testing of finished drugs and substances on animals be ethically evaluated?”, where she thoroughly examined the ethical aspects of preclinical studies, with particular attention to the humane treatment of laboratory animals during the testing of finished pharmaceutical products.
The participation of an Olfarm LLC representative in this key industry event demonstrates the professional competence of the testing laboratory's specialists and the company’s commitment to high ethical standards in preclinical research.
Following the event, recommendations for improving the work of bioethics committees in Russia are expected to be published.
